Biography[]
George "Zekent" Liu's initial fame in League of Legends was primarily due to his streaming presence. He was originally known by the community as Spamhappy when Dyrus streamed a series of Poppy games using his Poppy guide on Solomid.net. He was added to the solomid.net network as a streamer, and his stream was also featured by Riot.
Season 2[]
Zekent's first competitive team was 4Nothing, which he joined on April 22, 2012 as a toplaner along with TakashiX and OneBadBrad, replacing Kramer121, DrTrevor, and Dan Dinh (who moved to a coaching role).[9] When Bloodwater left the team in May, Zekent switched to support, and then on July 26 he moved into a coaching role, explaning that his schedule did not allow him enough time to practice with the team for tournaments.[10] Zekent left the team in September and joined Absolute Legends NA as their toplaner.
Preseason 3[]
On December 23, 2012 Zekent admitted on Reddit that he and his team had ghosted to cheat in their first game against Team Dynamic in the IPL Online Qualifier for the offline qualifier to the spring LCS. He stated, "We know that it was wrong and we feel obligated to formally post an apology before **** hits the fan." Absolute Legends lost the BO3 series against TD regardless.[11][12]
Riot Games announced on their community forum on January 3 that Zekent and his teammates Johnny "Unstoppable" Tran, Nicholas "Nubbypoohbear" Harlan and Robert "ROBERTxLEE" Lee had been disqualified from participating in the Riot Season 3 North American Ranked 5v5 Online Qualifier and final offline qualifier.[13]
Season 3[]
Zekent continued to play in the competitive scene anyway, joining FXOpen in March, along with TrickZ and former teammate ROBERTxLEE when the team restructured after parting ways with sponsor Azure Gaming. He play support for the new team until May 20, when he moved to a coaching role due to external time constraints; Zekent stayed with FXOpen through their namechange to To Be Determined.
2014 Preseason[]
Zekent departed To Be Determined in October 2013 to rejoin the scene as a player, becoming the support of the newly-reformed Team Curse. Zekent played for Curse in the first three weeks of the 2014 LCS Spring Split but then was replaced by Saintvicious; once again, he became a coach for the team.
On April 2, 2014 Zekent announced his retirement from professional League of Legends in a vlog.[14] He went on to become the assistant community manager for Dawngate.[15]
On November 10, 2014, after it was announced that Dawngate was no longer going to move forward with development, Zekent announced his return to League of Legends streaming.[16]
