Biography[]

After beginning his E-Sports career as a Brood War player with MBCGame Hero, MC earned the nicknames of "Boss Toss" and "Protoss President" following his transition to StarCraft II after he became the first multiple-time GSL champion and an IEM World Champion. He eventually played Protoss for MBCGame Hero, Old Generations (oGs), SK Gaming and CJ Entus, and had earned over $450,000 in prize money by May 2014.

He then joined Kongdoo Monster as their new coach following the shutdown of Proleague, KeSPA's historic StarCraft team league dating back to Brood War, which led to CJ, SK Telecom T1, KT Rolster and Samsung Galaxy disbanding their StarCraft divisions.

Trivia[]

  • His ID MC stands for his real name (Min-chul).
  • He changed his ID MC to WhyManMC due to contract to 왜냐맨 (WhyMan, SPOTV GAMES' YouTube Program and also MC's nickname).
  • Occasionally streamed League before joining Kongdoo Monster and was seen playing the game backstage at StarCraft tournaments.[9]
  • Once celebrated a series win at MLG Anaheim with a TeemoSquareTeemo impression, including a Teemo hat.[10]
  • Speaks English but cannot write it.
  • Also won two Archon Mode showmatch events at BlizzCon on early builds of StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void.
