VCS B 2017 Winter - Round I is the first round of the Vietnam Championship Series B, in which teams from across Vietnam fight to reach the VCS 2018 Spring Promotion.

- Random seeding
- Single elimination brackets
- All matches are best of one
- Best team from each of 60 provinces qualifies for Round II
- Four best teams from each of the 3 big cities (Ha Noi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City) qualify for Round III
