Team SoloMid Evo was the second League of Legends team under the SoloMid.Net organization. They were formed on May 11, 2012 when SoloMid.Net acquired the roster of Epik Gamer. The team disbanded after their loss at the Season Two NA Regionals.
History[]
Acquisition of EPIK Gamer[]
One of the oldest teams in League of Legends history, team Epik Gamer joined forces with Team SoloMid on May 11, 2012, to form Team SoloMid Evo. With the acquisition, Team SoloMid obtained Salce, Aphromoo, Nhat Nguyen, Unstoppable, and wingsofdeathx.
Season 2[]
Retaining their Season 2 circuit points from when they were Epik Gamer, TSM.Evo's first appearance at a circuit event under their new banner was at the MLG 2012 - Spring Championships. At the event, TSM.EVO began with a strong start, defeating the European team SK Gaming 2-0 in their first match of the tournament. However, they fell to the new FnaticRC lineup 1-2 in a best of three series. Dropping down to the loser's bracket, TSM.EVO was eliminated from the tournament by Orbit Gaming.
On June 29, they placed 1st at the IPL5 North American Qualifier #2 #2 but since they disbanded prior to IPL5, their spot at the event was given to the second place team from Qualifier #2, Curse Gaming.
A few weeks after the event, long time AD Carry player Aphromoo left the team, citing internal problems with team members. A day afterwards, DontMashMe stepped in to replace Aphromoo as TSM.EVOs new AD Carry.
On August 30, 2012, Team SoloMid Evo would fly out to Seattle to compete in the S2 Regional Finals - Seattle. Unfortunately, they would be quickly eliminated in the quarterfinals, losing 0-2 to Curse Gaming.
Shortly after their disappointing showing at the Season 2 North American Regionals, Salce, Nhat Nguyen, Unstoppable, wingsofdeathx, and DontMashMe would decide to disband the team.
