Biography[]
2014 Season[]
Sheep joined Curse Academy in January 2014 and stayed with the team until February, when he left to join XDG Gaming, replacing Bloodwater. XDG came in last place in the spring LCS season and were then relegated by compLexity.Black. The team disbanded shortly after, and Sheep joined Team Coast.
With Coast, Sheep played in both the first and second summer series of NACS, and the team qualified for the Spring Promotion Tournament with a third-place playoff finish. However, after last-minute roster swaps replacing Rhux and goldenglue with Miracle and Ringer, the team lost 3-0 to Evil Geniuses.NA.
2015 Preseason[]
Coast gave up their Expansion Tournament qualification due to losing three members of the team that had played in the Promotion Tournament - Miracle, Santorin, and Ringer. However, they qualified via the Challenger ladder with the top seed, ahead of Enemy eSports. Coast easily went through the online stage of the tournament, defeating Call Gaming and LoLPro both 2-0. Matched against Curse Academy in the live tournament, they lost in the first round 3-1 but then beat Final 5 3-1 and Team Fusion 3-2 and qualified for the Spring 2015 LCS. Their starting roster going into the 2015 season included Cris, Impaler, Jesiz, Mash, and Sheep.
2015 Season[]
After the seventh week of the spring split, Team Coast had a 1-13 record in the split, and the organization acquired Final Five and made lineup changes: Impaler and Sheep moved to Final Five, while Final Five's support KonKwon replaced Sheep on Coast and WTHeaven came in to replace Impaler.[17] At the time, Final Five were in second place in the NACS only behind Enemy eSports with a 4-2 record. However, after the roster change the team lost their remaining games; though they did qualify for the playoffs, they ended the season in 4th place, outside of the summer promotion tournament.
After the conclusion of the NACS, Sheep left Final Five and joined Cloud9 Tempest as their starting support.[18] With Cloud9 Tempest, Sheep participated in the NACS Summer Qualifier, with nearly the same roster as they had competed with in the spring qualifier, except that LOD moved to AD carry, and Sheep joined. After their first two rounds, Yusui was temporarily banned for four weeks for purchasing botted accounts, and Jintae was used as a substitute for the finals against CLG Black, which the team won, successfully qualifying for the Summer Season.
The team finished with a 5-5 record and in fourth place. In the playoffs, they also finished fourth, after losses to Renegades and Team Imagine. They missed out on the Summer Promotion Tournament but retained an automatic seed into the NACS Spring 2016 Season.
After the conclusion of their 2015 season run, Cloud9 announced open tryouts for a new Challenger team, which would be built around Meteos.[19]
2016 Season[]
Sheep retired from competitive play in January 2016, stating that it was "something that [he]'d been thing of doing for a while."[20] He stayed in retirement until December 2016, when he joined Tempo Storm alongside Quas, Zentinel, Hatrixx, and Freeze.[21]
Trivia[]
- His ID Sheep was given to him by his sister.
