Biography[]
Tony "ShLaYa" Carmona was born in Bordeaux, France on January 14, 1991. He began to play League of Legends during its beta.
Season 1[]
The first team that ShLaYa played for was Fureur, where he played AD carry with teammates Pyri, Moopz, Krepo, and Arnauw the team beat Fnatic in Go4LoL #34.[27] The team also participated in the WCG France Qualifiers and advanced to the fourth round of the tournament in the loser's bracket before being eliminated by Millenium.
After leaving Fureur, ShLaYa decided to switch roles to jungle and joined laGG, with fredy122, Havoc24, PLXNOCHET, Krepo, and Yellowpete. When laGG was to play against Millenium in an online qualifier for IEM Guangzhou, they asked ShLaYa to join as a starting jungler, and he agreed, leaving laGG to join Millenium. Prior to the main event at Guangzhou, ShLaYa played with Millenium at IEM Cologne and was then removed from the roster after a disappointing result at Cologne.
ShLaYa's next team was Team Sypher, which he joined in December 2011. With a lineup of ShLaYa in the jungle with teammates Skyyart, Moopz, Lounet, and Lyumi, Team Sypher was regarded as the strongest French team and competed at IEM Kiev and IEM Hanover.
Season 2[]
ShLaYa left Sypher due to conflicts with the organization in March 2012 and formed a new team under the organization Eclypsia along with former teammate Skyyart; he also switched roles from jungle back to midlane. The first completed roster of Eclypsia was ShLaYa, Skyyart, Fredy122, Havov24, and ImSoFresh. The team disbanded in September 2012 after multiple roster swaps.
In November 2012, ShLaYa played in a few events with GSU Gaming, including Paris Games Week, where GSU placed second to Fnatic. After leaving GSU, he joined Against All Authority along with former teammates Fredy122 and nono. Their lineup was completed by Karalius and Linak.
Preseason 3[]
Despite their jungler Linak being banned from competitive play,[28] aAa were able to qualify for the LCS with new jungler ViRtU4l.
Season 3[]
ShLaYa played with aAa in the spring split of the 2013 EU LCS, but after internal team issues, they were unable to return for the summer split. Though the team wanted to keep ShLaYa and fredy122 on their roster, ShLaYa decided to leave for Millenium in June 2013. Millenium's roster at the time included ImSoFresh, Doigby, Nanouk, and Migxa.
2014 Preseason[]
ShLaYa played with Lemondogs in the Battle of the Atlantic, but then the team lost their LCS spot due to a failed negotiation with Ninjas in Pyjamas and paperwork not being filed on time. When SUPA HOT CREW qualified for the LCS acquiring the spot that Lemondogs had lost, the team invited ShLaYa to become a sub for them, and he agreed.
2014 Season[]
In February 2014, ShLaYa created a team with friends under the tag HD TEAM and won several French tournaments. Their roster included ShLaYa, Nono, Shaunz, Doigby, and hyrqBot. In June, ShLaYa, Nono, Shaunz, and hyrqBot decided to form a new organization. Originally under the name ThunderbotSparta that team became Sparta.
2015 Preseason[]
Sparta qualified for the Spring Expansion Tournament via the ranked 5's ladder, placing in the top seed under the name SPARTA KAPPA. Sparta were knocked out in Round 1 of the online phase after being beaten by Different Dimension.
Trivia[]
- Got an unofficial pentakill during the EU LCS 2013 Spring as Kayle against Dragonborns.
