Biography[]
Season 3[]
Baek "Save" Young-jin joined NaJin Shield as their new mid laner on March 25, 2013. His first tournament with the team was OLYMPUS Champions Spring 2013 where Shield made it to the quarterfinals but lost 3-1 to CJ Entus Frost. Soon after the tournament was over, Shield renamed to NaJin White Shield and Save began a transition to top lane when Expession was moved to NaJin Black Sword. HOT6iX Champions Summer 2013 was his inaugural tournament in the top lane and Shield ended up in the quarterfinals. However, they met Frost again and were quickly dispatched 3-0.
2014 Season[]
Save and Shield began the new season at PANDORA.TV Champions Winter 2013-2014. Shield qualified for the semifinals but lost 3-1 to Samsung Galaxy Ozone. They also lost the third place match 3-1 to the KT Rolster Bullets to end in fourth place overall, their highest placing yet. They would continue their upward trend at HOT6iX Champions Spring 2014 where they made their first final against Samsung Galaxy Blue, but they were comfortably beaten 3-1. The final OGN of the year was HOT6iX Champions Summer 2014 where Shield made the quarterfinals but lost 3-2 to the KT Rolster Arrows. The team earned enough circuit points to qualify for the 2014 Season Korea Regional Finals as the third seed. Shield ran the entire guantlet, beating the Bullets, the Arrows, and SK Telecom T1 K while only dropping one game in the process to qualify for the 2014 Season World Championship as the third seed from Korea. Shield was placed in a group with Cloud9, Alliance, and KaBuM! e-Sports. They placed first after winning a tie breaker against C9 and were placed against OMG in their quarterfinal matchup. Shield suffered crushing defeat at the hands of OMG, losing 3-0 after the latter decided to sub in Cloud as their support.
2015 Season[]
Save left Shield on December 1, 2014 to join Invictus Gaming.[10] Save only played three games with them during the 2015 LPL Spring Regular Season where IG ended in fifth place. IG placed third in the 2015 LPL Spring Playoffs but Save did not play any games for them during this time. Shortly afterwards, he was moved to IG's LSPL team, Young Glory. He played with them initially in the 2015 Demacia Cup/Summer Season. Here, YG made it to the round of 16 but they lost 3-1 to Vici Gaming. In LSPL Summer 2015, YG placed sixth with losses to Hyper Youth Gaming and 2144 Danmu Gaming but they still qualified for the LPL 2016 Season Spring Promotion Tournament. YG lost in the first round 3-2 to Royal Never Give Up.
2016-17 Season[]
Save left Young Glory in April of 2017 and joined Invictus Gaming in June as a substitute. He spent the majority of 2016 and 2017 as a sub. He did however play several games in the 2016 LPL Summer Season but only won a few against I May and Snake Esports.
