SN CyberCore Esports is a Vietnamese team and a collaboration between CyberCore Vietnam and D1VERSE.
History
2025 Season
After the semi-pro team D1VERSE was promoted to the VCS 2025 Spring following their championship victory at RTV 2025 Spring: Campus, they partnered with CyberCore Việt Nam to form Saigon CyberCore Esports (CBC). This marked the return of the CyberCore name after 9 years, since CyberCore Anonys competed in the Coca-Cola Championship Series 2016 Spring. Kyo, the founder of D1VERSE, officially moved to the Head Coach position, PTM transitioned from a support to an Analyst, and SunFat departed. The team welcomed new mid laner Henli (formerly Rby), ADC SkyK, Support BioB, and BeeBee as Assistant Coach and Team Manager. Along with the remaining core from D1VERSE—Kazunn1, Ty, and Dust—they established their roster for the VCS 2025 Spring.
Entering their first season, CyberCore was considered a dark horse, featuring two notable names: Henli and SkyK, who was a substitute ADC for GAM Esports during their 2024 domestic double championship season. In the Swiss Stage, they achieved a miraculous feat by defeating two much stronger teams, Saigon Dino and Saigon Secret (the academy team of Team Secret Whales), to advance to the Playoffs with a 2-0 record. This performance also secured them the second seed from the VCS region for the Asia Master Swiss 1. At that tournament, they managed only one win against VARREL YOUTH and suffered four losses to stronger opponents.
In the VCS 2025 Spring Playoffs, they faced Saigon Secret again but were defeated 0-2. Dropping to the lower bracket, they rematched against another team they had previously beaten, Saigon Dino, but the outcome was the same. CyberCore Esports finished in 5th place (ahead of Hanoi Rookies Esports due to a better tiebreaker score from the Swiss stage). They were fortunate to avoid relegation because Saigon Secret, as an academy team of an LCP team, was automatically granted a spot, which allowed the 5th-place team to remain in the VCS.
During the mid-season break, CBC added DNTL and Pend, but both players soon left as they did not fit the team's playstyle.
For the Summer Split, the team underwent a nearly complete roster overhaul, retaining only Kazunn1 and Heart (formerly Dust) as a substitute along with the coaching duo Kyo and BeeBee (who had changed her name to Cieleta). The team added jungler Bojji, VCS 2025 Spring champion Vin from Hyper Vortex Esports as the new mid laner, ADC Arrietty, and Support Yume. With new sponsors Shameless Club and SN Gaming (Leetoan), the team rebranded to TP.HCM SN CyberCore Esports (SCBC), and Leetoan joined as a substitute jungler.
In the Summer Swiss Stage, they lost their opening match to Team Flash but then secured an easy 2-0 victory over GenZ Gaming. However, they suffered a 1-2 reverse sweep loss to Never Give Up and were then defeated 1-2 by Saigon Secret, ending the Swiss Stage with a 1-3 record. This forced them into a do-or-die LCQ match against Mila Gaming for the final playoff spot. Despite questions surrounding their form, SCBC secured a swift 2-0 victory to claim the last ticket.
In Round 1 of the Playoffs, they successfully got their revenge on Never Give Up with a 2-1 win before facing Team Flash in Round 2. They were then defeated 0-2 in consecutive matches against Team Flash and Saigon Secret, ending their run in 5th place. However, making it to the playoffs was enough to qualify them for the year-end VCS Finals.
At the VCS Finals, Heart was removed from the roster, and Mymy was added as a substitute support but became an assistant manager due to eligibility issues. When the VCS Summer champion, Saigon Dino, chose Never Give Up as their opponent, SN CyberCore Esports was set to rematch Team Flash. However, due to issues related to unfairness and disrespect from VNG Games and Riot Games, Team Flash decided to disband its League of Legends team. This resulted in a default win for SN CyberCore Esports, allowing them to advance directly to the grand final to await Saigon Dino and Never Give Up.
