Biography
Poome was born in Quebec, Canada. He began playing League of Legends in 2017. Only a year later, after hitting Master rank in solo queue, he started competing in the North American amateur circuit. After brief stints on numerous amateur teams, most notably Supernova academy team Super Nova Sentinels, he joined 100 Thieves Next, he competed in the Tyler1 Championship Series, where he not only won the event but was voted the event MVP. Performing well at such a highly-watched event accelerated Poome's professional career.
2020 Season
At the beginning of 2020, after a recommendation from Auto, Poome joined 100 Thieves Next, where he competed alongside top North American amateur talent such as Tenacity and Kenvi. 100 Next dominated the amateur circuit, and Poome was promoted to 100 Thieves Academy for the summer split. Poome would not remain in academy for long, however. After the 100 Thieves LCS roster struggled, he was promoted once again to replace Stunt. With Poome having started playing the game only three years prior, this marked one of the quickest ascents to the LCS ever. Poome initially made a big impact on the team, which won several of its next few games. However, a poor performance in playoffs, including a game where he died 8 times on Pantheon, led to him being demoted back to the academy team for the 2021 season. In 2021, Poome played alongside Turkish bot laner Luger and saw good success in the academy league, finishing 3rd in the spring Proving Grounds and winning the summer Proving Grounds.
2022 Season
After a year out of the LCS, Poome received a second chance when he and his academy duo Luger were signed to CLG at the beginning of the 2022 season. The CLG roster included several other players who had struggled in recent LCS stints, including Contractz and Palafox. After an 8th place finish in spring, the team went on a hot streak in summer, at one point even holding the 1st place position before ending the regular season in 4th. Nonetheless, the improvement of CLG and all of its players was massive. CLG even managed to take eventual champion Cloud9 to five games, as well as Team Liquid's star-studded roster. However, CLG wasn't able to win either series, and was eliminated 5-6th; many analysts still considered this finish a success given the low expectations of the organization and the players coming into the season.
Trivia
- Played in the LCS only three years after he started playing League of Legends.
