Biography[]
ocelote was born in Madrid, Spain on June 15, 1990. Prior to picking up League of Legends, ocelote was a notable World of Warcraft player, reaching the Blizzcon 2009 3on3 Finals. He started playing League of Legends during the beta stages, but took a break until October of 2010 to finish his studies at school. He played for the Dimegio clan before moving to SK Gaming. On December 31, 2013 he left SK Gaming's starting roster and competed in the SCAN EUW Winter Invitational for Team lololol, where they lost against C9 EU in the finals.
ocelote participated in the Expansion Tournament with Gamers2, who managed to beat Reason Gaming in the seeding game and Team Strix in Round 1. Gamers2 were knocked out in Round 2 after being beaten by n!faculty.
Departure from G2[]
On the 17th of September 2022, ocelote posted a video on his personal Twitter account showing him partying with controversial former professional kickboxer and internet personality Andrew Tate. This immediately ignited a firestorm on social media, with many on Twitter condemning his actions while ocelote and others defended his choice to be seen with Tate. The next day, G2 released a statement stating that ocelote and the organization had agreed to place him on unpaid leave for eight weeks. However, on September 23rd, he announced that he would be stepping down as CEO of G2 amidst reports that Riot Games had denied G2 a franchising slot in the new Valorant league due to his actions.
Trivia[]
- Admitted he has been toxic in the past, after a ban from Riot he has taken steps to be more positive in games.
- Along with his former teammate Araneae, he is known to be a very vocal player in live events, often times shouting loud enough to be heard on the live stream.
- During his toxic period, ocelote has been banned twice. Jeffrey Lin (Lead Social Systems Designer) said that ocelote's past behavior has been "the worst we've ever seen in Tribunal cases."[10]
- He does not capitalize the "o" in "ocelote" because he believes every letter has the same importance in his name.[11]
- He is known primarily for his
Cassiopeia. - Owns ~50 scarves.
- Previously played World of Warcraft at a professional level.
