Biography[]
2020 Season[]
Nxi was a relatively unknown solo queue player until he joined 100 Thieves Next near the end of the season after the previous jungler, Kenvi, was promoted to 100 Thieves Academy. Although he had a different style compared to Kenvi, he integrated into the team quickly and went on to several 1st and 2nd place finishes in amateur tournaments, including a 2nd place finish in SGC 2020 Play Off that earned him a spot at the 2020 NA Scouting Grounds. He was drafted onto Team Ocean Drake and won the tournament, receiving the tournament's Honda MVP award for his individual performance. Despite his success, he was picked 9th in the final draft, by FlyQuest.
2021 Season[]
After signing with FlyQuest, Nxi played for FlyQuest Academy. Before the Academy season started, however, he substituted for the LCS roster during the first week of LCS 2021 Lock In after starting jungler Josedeodo experienced issues with his visa. Nxi lost both games he played with the roster, garnering a 0.5 KDA, the worst for any player of the tournament. FlyQuest Academy had an unspectacular NA Academy 2020 Spring, finishing 6th, with a 7th-8th place finish in LCS Proving Grounds 2021 Spring. However, during the Summer, the team performed much better and was positioned to take the 1st place spot by the middle of the split. Due to poor performances from the LCS roster, which was on a 10-game losing streak at the time, Nxi and the rest of the Academy roster were promoted to LCS. To the surprise of many, the Academy roster went 3-0 in their first week in LCS, with Nxi even earning a Player of the Game award. However, the team struggled to find success in the next few weeks, and Nxi was returned to the Academy roster prior to Week 9.
