GIGABYTE NiceGameTV League of Legends Battle Summer is an online tournament taking place in South Korea starting in June 2013 and ending in August 2013. This is secondary league to HOT6iX Champions Summer. Losing teams from offline qualifiers and top non-qualifying teams from online qualifiers of HOT6iX Champions Summer will participate. The tournament is aired by NiceGameTV via Ustream, Afreeca and Daum TvPot.
Overview
Format
- Gold League (16 teams from qualifiers advance to Gold League)
- All matches are best of three
- Round of Sixteen - 16 teams split into 8 groups
- Round of Eight - Round robin with one group of eight
- Top 4 teams from group advance to Platinum League
- Platinum League (4 teams from Gold League and 8 teams that finish 9th-16th in HOT6iX Champions Summer)
- 12 teams split into 4 groups
- The 4 winners of the matches advance to Diamond League
- All matches are best of three
- Diamond League (4 teams from Platinum League and 4 teams that finish 5th-8th in HOT6iX Champions Summer)
- Single elimination bracket
- Quarterfinals are best of three, all others matches are best of five
- Winner gets a seed for next season of LoL Champions
