Overview[]
The Riot 2016 Season Championship Series is the fourth season of North America's fully professional League of Legends league. In the playoffs, six teams compete in a single-elimination bracket for prize money and Championship Points. The winner automatically qualifies for the 2016 Season World Championship as the top seed from North America.
Format[]
- Single elimination with a third-place match.
- 1st and 2nd place of the Summer Season get a bye into the semifinals.
- 3rd through 6th place of the Summer Season play in the quarterfinals.
- Teams are reseeded after quarterfinals so the first-place team always plays the lowest-ranked advancing quarterfinal team.
- All matches are best of five
- 2016 Summer NA LCS Ruleset
- Winner qualifies for the 2016 Season World Championship
- third-place match and final held at the Air Canada Centre (40 Bay St, Toronto, ON M5J 2X2, Canada)
