Biography[]
Zachary "mancloud" Allan Hoschar's first competitive League of Legends team was APictureOfAGoose, which he founded in early 2011 along with Atlanta, wallstop, berard, voyboy, and 3xecutioner. The team won several Go4LoL tournaments in 2011 and 2012 and played at IPL 3. They also qualified for IEM Kiev but were unable to attend due to external conflicts.
mandatorycloud stayed with the team through several acquisitions and renamings: first mTW, then Monomaniac, next Team FeaR, and finally Team Vulcun. With Vulcun, he qualified for the first-ever NA LCS split, and despite a weak start to the season they finished fifth in the regular season and ended the playoffs in third.
2014 Season[]
Following the season 3 summer split, Vulcun renamed to XDG Gaming, and mandatorycloud shortened his name to Mancloud. The team also changed their roster, moving Xmithie to AD Carry and placing Zuna in the jungle. The role swap was not well-received by the community, who thought that the team was going to suffer as a result, and XDG placed last in the LCS summer split and were subsequently relegated by LMQ.
After XDG was relegated from the LCS, Benny, Mancloud, Zuna, and Sheep left the team. In early May, Mancloud joined Curse Academy as their starting midlaner, and he played with the team in the first and second series of the NACS summer series. However, after being replaced by Keane as the starting midlaner for the playoffs, he left the team on August 17.[21]
2015 Preseason[]
Mancloud, once again competing under the name mandatorycloud, joined Storm in September 2014, a team formed to attempt to qualify for the 2015 spring LCS via the Expansion Tournament. However, because their top laner Lourlo would not be 17 years old in time, they decided to wait until he would be eligible to compete to attempt to qualify.
In October 2014, mandatorycloud stated that he wanted to try out for LMQ (as AD Carry) and was trying out for Counter Logic Gaming, hoping to fill vacant roster swaps for the 2015 LCS.[22] However, he was not given either position.
2015 Season[]
After the fourth week of the Spring LCS Split, Team Coast was at a 1-7 record. They replaced Jesiz with Mancloud going into the fifth week.[23] However, the team lost their remaining spring split games and ended the split with a 1-17 record, automatically relegated to the NACS.
On May 1, 2015, mancloud announced his free agency.[24] He later rejoined Storm. Storm renamed to Maelstrom Gaming for the qualifier, but after a first-round victory over Aware Gaming, they lost to CLG Black and were eliminated; shortly after, Maelstrom disbanded, and Mancloud joined Team Imagine as a substitute mid laner. After the second week, he moved to a starting position, when the team replaced their entire starting roster.
Imagine finished fourth in the regular season, with a 6-4 record. In the 2015 NACS Summer Playoffs, they lost in the semifinals to eventual tournament winner Renegades, but won the third place match against Cloud 9 Tempest to secure a spot in the 2016 LCS Promotion Tournament. Chosen by Team 8, they lost 3-1 - out of LCS qualification, but regardless retaining their 2016 NACS spring season placement. Mancloud left Imagine in November.[25]
Trivia[]
- Was considered one of North America's best mid laners in Season 3.
- Has six ducks, two geese, a dog, and a cat.
