MAD Team is a Taiwanese esports team under Mad Crew Esports Ltd.
History[]
On November 28, 2017, the LMS slot of ahq Fighter and was acquired and renamed to MAD Team by Hong Kong celebrity Shawn Yue. Liang, Benny, Kongyue, Uniboy, and Rock were acquired from ahq Fighter, Breeze, and K joined from Wayi Spider.
2018 Season[]
MAD Team debuted in the 2018 Spring Season and placed 4th with a 6-8 record, earning them a spot in the playoffs. The team would defeat Machi E-Sports in the first round with a 3-1 victory but lost to G-Rex 0-3 but earned a spot at Rift Rivals. The team represented LMS in the Rift Rivals 2018 LCK-LPL-LMS along Flash Wolves, G-Rex, and Machi E-Sports. However MAD Team lost all matches in the tournament.
MAD Team placed 2nd in the 2018 Summer Season with a 10-4 record. The team was placed second seed in playoffs, winning the first game 3-0 against J Team but losing 3-0 to Flash Wolves. MAD Team accrued the most championship points throughout the 2018 LMS Season, allowing them to qualify for the Worlds Main Event as the second seed.
At Worlds, MAD Team were drawn into Group C alongside KT Rolster, EDward Gaming, and Team Liquid. The team failed to win a single game and ended the group stage with a 0-6 record.
2019 Season[]
Head coach GreenTea left to join Royal Never Give Up in December 2018. TL moved to head coach to replace him shortly after.
