  • This item's active will not stack. More than one ally using this item will only refresh the shield on nearby allies.
    • This item's active applies the debuff Eclipsed to all shielded allies.
  • The active uses the greater value between the wielder and the recipient's level to calculate the strength of the recipient's shield.

  • This item was inspired by the Iron Solari Conclave, a fan-made forum group that was named after LeonaSquare.pngLeona and is supported by Michael 'IronStylus' Maurino. Numerous other groups, led by various Riot staff members, were also formed and "warred" with the Iron Solari, but the Iron Solari were arguably the most successful.

Patch History[]

Shield base and per-level scaling decreased; bonus health ratio increased early, decreased late. Shield cooldown increased; shield stacking penalties are harsher.

Locket is really strong right now, crowding out other options for support or jungle tanks, so we're toning down the strength of the shield significantly.

BASE SHIELD : [38] 30
BONUS HEALTH RATIO : [2-36% (at levels 1-18)] 20%
COOLDOWN : [90] 120 seconds

Base shield value down. Bonus health ratio added to shield.

Locket of the Iron Solari lets tanks give a burst of tankiness to their team - perfect alongside their initiation or counter-initiation. However, it’s currently best-in-class on all supports, not just tanks. We’re linking Locket’s shield strength to typical tank stats so that if you want its full strength, you have to invest in it.

SHIELD : [70-665 (at levels 1-18)] 65-434 (+2-36% of the caster’s bonus health) (at levels 1-18)
REMINDER : Locket chooses the higher level between caster and recipient when determining shield scaling - this is unchanged. The new bonus health ratio is always based off the caster’s bonus health.

Aura and health removed. Shield and magic resist increased. Now has armor.

With the Aegis aura gone, we want to make sure Locket still feels impactful in fights, so we’re doubling the shield. It also brings more magic resist than you can shake a stick at, so don’t worry about getting bursted before you can drop the bass. And by the bass we mean shield.

TOTAL COST : [2500 gold] 2200 gold
BUILD PATH : [Aegis of the Legion + Kindlegem + 200 gold] Aegis of the Legion + Null-Magic Mantle + 650 gold
MAGIC RESIST : [20] 60
HEALTH No longer grants 400 health
BASE HEALTH REGENERATION No longer grants +100% base health regen
COOLDOWN REDUCTION No longer grants 10% cooldown reduction
WUB WUB WUB : UNIQUE Active: Grants a shield to nearby allies that absorbs up to 35 (+35 per level) damage, decaying over 2.5 seconds (90 second cooldown). (Half effect if the target has recently been affected by another Locket of the Iron Solari.)
AURA UNIQUE PASSIVE - Legion: No longer gives nearby allied units +15 magic resist

TOTAL cost : [2750 gold] 2500 gold
BUILD path : Aegis of the Legion + Kindlegem + 200 gold

Costs less. Now has health regen for the buyer, but loses its health regen aura and part of its magic resist. Additionally, shields for more but has a significantly lowered duration.

Like we said directly above, we’re sharpening the auras so you’ll still want them when they seem good (vs magic damage teams) but not so powerful as to be ‘good-all-the-time.’ In Locket’s case, we’re taking that sharpening a step further by amping the Solari Shield significantly, but making it much more timing-intensive; perfect at taking the edge off of a Flash + Tibbers, but much less useful against devourers gnawing your face off. Locket’s still an amazing pickup vs double AP and the like, but requires a bit more thought in the moment.
