Championship Points
The LPL 2025 Season awards Championship Points towards qualification for the World Championship.
Format
- The winner of the LPL 2025 Grand Finals automatically qualifies (AQ) for the Worlds 2025 Main Event as China's first seed.
- The team that has accrued the most championship points over the 2025 Season (and wasn't automatically qualified) also qualifies for the Main Event as China's second seed.
Championship Points Tiebreaker
In the event that multiple teams are tied in the standings at the conclusion of the Grand Finals, then the team that gained the most points in the Grand Finals will be considered the holder of the tiebreaker.
MSI 2025 Top 2 Region
- China's third and fourth seeds for Worlds are determined at the Regional Finals.
- 3rd to 6th ranked teams (with AQ included as the 1st team) in total championship points will qualify for the Regional Finals.
- The regional finals consist of a waterfall-style bracket with seeding based on Championship Points.
MSI 2025 not Top 2 Region
- China's third seed for Worlds is determined at the Regional Finals.
- The 3rd to 5th ranked teams in championship points (that are not already qualified for Worlds) play in the Regional Finals.
- The Regional Finals consist of a single elimination King of the Hill bracket with seeding based on Championship Points.
