The 2020 League of Legends Pro League (LPL) is the eighth year of China's professional League of Legends league. The Summer Playoffs takes the top eight teams from the Summer Season and seeds based on their season standings. The teams compete for Championship Points and a spot at the 2020 Season World Championship.

Overview

Format

  • Top 8 teams from the Summer Season participate
    • 1st and 2nd place teams receive a bye to the semifinals
    • 3rd and 4th place teams receive a bye to the quarterfinals
    • 5th to 8th place teams start in Round 1
  • Single elimination bracket
    • Round 1 - (5th Seed vs 8th Seed) and (6th Seed vs 7th Seed)
    • Quarterfinals - (5/8 Winner vs 4th Seed) and (6/7 Winner vs 3rd Seed)
    • Semifinals - (4/5/8 Winner vs 1st Seed) and (3/6/7 Winner vs 2nd Seed)
    • 3rd Place Match - 1/4/5/8 Loser vs 2/3/6/7 Loser
    • Finals - 1/4/5/8 Winner vs 2/3/6/7 Winner
  • 5th place is decided by:
    • Total Game Differential in Summer Season and Summer Playoffs
    • Head to Head record in Summer Season
  • Matches are best of five
  • Winner qualifies for the 2020 Season World Championship
