Overview
As part of the changes to the 2015 GPL, the region consisting of Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao left the GPL and began to compete instead in the League of Legends Master Series, or "LMS." 2016 is the second year of the LMS's existence. In the playoffs, four teams compete in a single-elimination gauntlet for prize money and Championship Points. The winner automatically qualifies for the 2016 Season World Championship as the number one seed from Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao.
Format
- Playoff seeds are based on regular-season record
- All matches are best of five
- 2016 LoL Master Series Rules: Summer Season (Chinese)
- First two rounds will be held at Neo Studio in Taipei
- Finals will be held at the Asia-World Expo in Hong Kong
- Winner qualifies for the 2016 Season World Championship
