Overview

The 2022 Latin America League (Spanish: Liga Latinoamérica 2022) is the seventh season of Latin America's unified fully professional League of Legends league. The 7th and 8th place team from the 2021 LLA Season will defend their spots against the top teams from Regional Norte and Regional Sur.

Along with these, the 7th place from the 2020 LLA Season, Furious Gaming, will also be part of the tournament after the cancellation of the 2021 Opening Promotion.

Undead Gaming, winners of Regional Sur 2020, were also set to compete after being reseeded from the 2021 Opening Promotion. However, due to issues with the visas of their players, they effectively dropped out of the tournament on August 30th, 2021.^[1]

Five teams participate:
- Seventh and eighth place of the 2021 LLA Performance Points
- Seventh place of the 2020 LLA Performance Points
- Winner of Regional Norte 2021
- Winner of Regional Sur 2021
Single Round Robin
Matches are best of one
Top three teams advance to Finals, the remaining teams advance to Semifinals

Playoffs

Semifinals:
- 4th seed faces 5th seed, winner faces 1st seed at Finals
Finals:
- 2nd seed faces 3rd seed, 1st seed faces Semifinals winner
- Winners qualify for the Opening Season
- Losers move on to the Repechage
Repechage:
- Winner qualifies for the Opening Season
