The LEC 2020 Season awards Championship Points towards seeding for the LEC 2020 Summer Playoffs, at which teams qualify for the World Championship.

Format[]

  • Unlike previous seasons, all of Europe's Worlds participants will qualify via the LEC Summer Playoffs, with Championship Points being used to seed teams going into this event.
    • LEC Summer Playoffs participation is still decided via LEC Summer Season performance.
    • Therefore, the playoffs will be the top 6 teams from summer season, ordered by Championship Points.
  • Championship Points will be granted for performance in the LEC Spring Playoffs and the LEC Summer regular season.
  • Regional Finals will therefore no longer take place.

Championship Points[]

As of May 15, the official rulebook lists incorrect championship points for places 5-10. No championship points are awarded for teams that miss playoffs, and 5th & 6th-place teams receive differing amounts.
