Biography[]

Krok, of his real name Martin Berthelot, was first introduced to League of Legends during his student years through his roommates. Incited to give the game a try, the four of them eventually convinced the initially reluctant French student into spending more time around the universe that was presented to him. Discovering his love for the game, he began branching out and became invested in the esports scene of the game through the famous French casters Chips and Noi. His infatuation for the game rising, he would first first start his esport adventure through coaching.

Unfortunately for Krok, he would soon find out that the work of an analyst was unpleasant to him. Due to such, he would decide to branch out of his initial experiment and turn to a totally different path. Having first met Chips and Noi during All-Star Shanghai, he would have had the chance to have a first exchange with them and found some much needed councelling from them. Not necessarily interested in leading a cast as they did, he mostly saw himself a future in creating shows and talking about the League of Legends scene itself. Nonetheless, Krok would have explained to him that such aspirations would mostly be un-reachable without prior casting experience and a proper introduction to the scene. As his next challenge, the aforementioned French duo would offer him the chance to begin his casting career through small Go4LoL tournaments and few LCS appearances.

By the end of 2015, Krok would move to Paris due to his profession which was unrelated to esports. In a fortunate twist of event, he would end up meeting Chips and Noi once more which were in the process of recruiting young casters for their web TV's O'Gaming esports coverage during the 2016 Season. As he was hired in the French organisation, he would take his first professional steps alongside Duke and Zaboutine as he casted several high end tournaments in a part-time manner. Throughout this adventure, he would also branch out and be hired as head of content for PandaScore, an esports data centric organisation.

Having kickstarted his career to new heights, he would start his first talk show name "Fade in China" and continue finding new gigs as he would sometimes freelance for organisations such as ESL. Continuing his adventures, he would be chosen to cast the Challenge France tournaments through which he would meet other prominent figures of the French scene such as DrFeelgood, GoB, and ImSoFresh.

In 2019, he would start investing time into talent incubation and work around start ups, giving classes and training the next generation of esport workers and talent all the while he kept casting the Open Tour France. Later that year, he would also be invited to be an host for O'Gaming's French coverage of the 2019 Season World Championship as the usual host Bulii was contracted to work on the English broadcast of the same tournament. Casting a few games of the tournament's play-in phase, Krok would invest more time that year in the competition, making a name for himself in the process as he would work hard on promoting stories of players and organisations, spending hours on researching the participants.

It was through this tournament that Krok would discover how much he enjoyed writing and telling stories and storylines. His desire to do so would only increase as very few people in the scene around him would do such tasks and provide the same amount of research that he had. Creating his own YouTube channel, Krok would then create shows such as Push to Talk which was his very unique creation, a show centered around long interviews of players and esports personalities. This show would later be followed by Ultra Late Game which he began streaming through his Twitch channel and another show centered around discussing transfer windows and off-season moves within the esport scene.

With the 2020 Season, O'Gaming would gain diffusion rights of the LPL, which would lead to the organisation needing more casters to cover this league. Krok would gladly move to cast this newly introduced league and would switch his content to focus around the Chinese scene which was mostly untapped and unknown but presented huge interest after their recent Worlds Championship title.

At the end of that year, O'Gaming would go through a huge restructuration which would lead to Chips, Noi, and Tweekz leaving the organisation and for the web TV to lose rights over several leagues. Due to such moves, Krok would begin freelancing for both O'Gaming and the newly formed One Trick Production, continuing his cast of the LPL but also working on shows such as #Analyst and casting the LFL Division 2. He would also branch out to cast the LFL and the European Masters.
