Biography[]
Kenneth "Ken" Tang is from the United States. He moved to Hong Kong and lived there for over ten years but currently resides in the United States once again, in San Jose, California, where he is a student at San Jose State University.
Season 3[]
Ken played with both Team Tempest and Dirt Nap Gaming in Season 3, DNG from June to November 2013.
2014 Season[]
Ken subbed for Evil Geniuses.NA in weeks 9 and 10 of the 2014 Spring LCS season while Krepo was renewing his visa. He later subbed for Curse Academy at the Lone Star Clash 3, where the fielded roster included himself, xPecake, ZzLegendary, Pat, and Rhux. They placed fourth, losing to Cloud9 Tempest and then Team 8 in the bracket.
2015 Season[]
Ken joined Winterfox as a substitute support player when the team's roster for the 2015 season was initially released. He also joined Monster Kittens, which became Infinity Esports. With the team, Ken competed in the NACS 2015 Spring Qualifier, though they were knocked out by Team Liquid Academy in the first round. After the tournament, Infinity Esports disbanded. In May, he became a starter for Winterfox to play in the NACS Summer Season.[12] The team finished in last place with a 1-9 record, and Ken was replaced by Lohpally as starting support partway through.
2016 Season[]
Spring Split[]
Ken substituted for Team Impulse for the first two weeks of the Spring Season. The team went 2-2 with him in the lineup, but won only three additional games over the rest of the split and finished ninth. In the Promotion Tournament, Team Impulse requalified for the Summer Season with a 3-1 win over the Challenger team Apex Gaming; however, on May 8 they were faced with a competitive ruling banning them from continued participation in the LCS due to not paying their players on time and also not having proper contracts in place with players. The team was also fined $20,000 by Riot.[13] After the ruling, Ken left the team.
Summer Split[]
Ken joined Nova eSports for the NACS Summer Split as a substitute support behind Trance. The team posted a 5-3 record with Trance and were sitting in second place going into the final week of the split, but elected to sub Ken in for their final series of the season against Cloud9 Challenger. However, Nova lost both games with him playing. Ken also played in the playoffs, but his team was swept by Team Liquid Academy. Nova almost immediately announced that they would be selling their NACS seed, and Ken left. His only other competitive action in 2016 was playing in the NACS Open Qualifiers, but his team failed to advance.
2017 Season[]
Ken next played in the NACS 2017 Summer Open Qualifiers. His team qualified for the main qualifier, at which point the roster was acquired by Team Liquid to reform Team Liquid Academy. However, they lost 3-1 to Delta Fox in the qualifiers, and the team was again disbanded. He saw no further action in 2017.
2018 Season[]
Ken was named the assistant coach of 100 Thieves Academy in June, just before the start of the summer academy split. 100A spent most of the split at or around the .500 mark but improved in the latter half, ending up in sixth place with a 10-8 record. In the playoffs, they took third seed CLG Academy to five games, but fell, ending their season. Ken left the team in September.
