Kaizen "Kaizen" Asiedu is a retired League of Legends esports personality. He was previously known as Primal. He is a member of the LCS broadcast team.

Biography

Kaizen started his esports career as a moderator for the StarCraft 2 subreddit and tournament organizer in 2010. In 2011 he founded WellPlayed Productions, a tournament production company that produced StarCraft and League of Legends events for Major League Gaming, IGN, and other organizations.

After graduating from Harvard in 2014 with a degree in Philosophy, he joined Riot Games. At Riot, he worked on global policy, tournament formats, and global strategy. He lead the development of the original import rule, designed the Worlds and MSI play-ins, among other initiatives. In 2016, he started leading production of events at Riot Games, and was the lead producer of the 2016 Mid-Season Invitational and 2017 World Championship, which Riot was awarded an Emmy for. In 2019 and 2020, he was the Head of Global Esports Events at Riot Games, and won an Emmy for the producing the 2019 World Championship.

In 2020, he left Riot and was a professional Teamfight Tactics player and streamer, winning the GiantSlayer TV Fight Night Rising Round 1 and advancing to the final round of the Set 3 North American Qualifiers. After commentating the Set 3 Teamfight Tactics North American Championship and World Championship, he joined the LCS broadcast team.
