Biography[]
Rami "Inori" Charagh was born in Baghdad, Iraq and currently lives in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He received multiple invitations to join amateur teams for the North American Challenger Series, and has played for COGnitive Gaming and Denial Esports (from March 21, 2014 to July 12, 2014).
2015 Preseason[]
On September 30, 2014 Liquid Inori became a founding member of a new Enemy eSports lineup, along with teammates cackgod, Wolfe, otter, and Bodydrop. The team took second in the Fall Black Monster Cup, losing to Team LoLPro in the finals.
Enemy eSports qualified for the Spring Expansion Tournament via the ranked 5's ladder under the name The cackson 5. In the Expansion Tournament they won their first-round match against Noble Truth 2-0 but then lost 0-2 to Team Fusion in the second round of the tournament and were eliminated.
In December 2014, Inori joined Roar. With the team, he competed in the NACS 2015 Spring Qualifier, but they were knocked out by Cloud9 G2A in the first round. Shortly after, Inori left the team.[36]
2015 Season[]
Between Season 4 and Season 5, Inori tried out for the CLG jungler position, but Xmithie was chosen to be the team's jungler instead. In March 2015, after Azingy left TSM Darkness to play for Team Dignitas in the LCS and then Sojin substituted for them for one week, Inori joined TSM Darkness and jungled for them in the last two weeks of the Spring Challenger Season. The team finished in fifth place in the season, after winning a tiebreaker game against CLG Black. When the team renamed to Elomingle after losing TSM's sponsorship, Inori left and later joined Odyssey Gaming. After entering the NACS Summer Qualifier with the top ladder seed, they were eliminated in the second round of their bracket by Cloud9 Tempest.
2016 Season[]
After being a substitute for Team Dignitas for the first half of the year, Inori joined Phoenix1, the organization that purchased Team Impulse's NA LCS Summer Season seed, in May.[37] Faced with visa problems, Inori was unable to play for the start of the split, and Phoenix1 was forced to add a substitute jungler Zentinel to their roster, who competed for them for the first three weeks. In that time, Phoenix1 lost all of their series and won only two games total, cementing themselves in last place, behind Echo Fox. Their winless streak continued after Inori's return and through their first series of the fifth week, at which point they had a 3-18 game record and 0-9 series record. In the second series of that week, however, they picked up their first series win against Apex Gaming, with a comeback 2-1 victory after dropping the first game. After this first win, their record improved significantly, and in the second half of the season they went a combined 5-4 - not enough to keep them out of relegations, but enough to surpass both Echo Fox and NRG Esports in the standings for a top seed in the promotion tournament, where they requalified for the LCS with an easy 3-0 win over Echo Fox.
2017 Season[]
Inori remained with Phoenix1 for 2017. The team began the Spring Split looking much improved but not quite top tier, going 4-4 in series over the first four weeks and fluctuating between 3rd and 4th place. After that week, Inori took a leave of absence from the team due to "personal issues" and was replaced by veteran Cloud9 jungler Meteos. Inori played in only three more games over the course of the split, but Phoenix1 prospered in his absence, finishing 11-7 and in third place.
Despite his issues during the season, Phoenix1 started Inori for the playoff quarterfinals, a 3-0 sweep of Dignitas. He was subbed out for Meteos in the final game of an eventual 3-0 loss to Cloud9 in the quarterfinals but returned for the third-place match, in which P1 triumphed 3-2 over FlyQuest.
Inori was rewarded for his playoff performance by being named Phoenix1's starting jungler for the summer season. However, the team lost their first two series of the season, and after they dropped the first game of a Week 2 series against Cloud9, Inori was again subbed out for Meteos. He didn't play another game for P1, and eventually left the team in June to join the similarly struggling Team Liquid. The change of scenery didn't seem to help, as Liquid lost all four games Inori appeared in. After Dardoch rejoined the team, Inori didn't play in another game, either in the regular season or in the promotion tournament. He left Liquid in November.
2018 Season[]
After not having played competitively for most of 2018, Inori was a surprise late-season pickup by the Turkish team YouthCrew Esports, who were fighting to avoid relegations. Inori played all three games of the summer season's final week, but the team didn't record a single win with him. Inori didn't appear for YouthCrew again, and they were eventually relegated.
2019 Season[]
Inori joined the North American amateur team ANEW Esports in June. He and his team managed to qualify for the 2019 NA Scouting Grounds through the Scouting Grounds Circuit. Inori played for Team Cloud Drake at the event, and was not drafted by any LCS teams, but Cloud9 Academy signed him in January 2020.
2020 Season[]
Cloud9 Academy started the spring academy split 2-4 but speedran the rest of the season, winning all of their remaining games to finish in first place with a 14-4 record. In the spring playoffs, C9.A defeated TSM Academy 3-1 in the semi-finals, then swept Evil Geniuses Academy in the finals to win the academy title.
Inori remained with the team for the summer academy split. They similarly got off to a weak 1-3 start, only to again dominate their competition over the rest of the split, finishing 13-5 and in first once again.
Trivia[]
- His ID Inori is based on the character Inori Yuzuriha from the anime Guilty Crown.
- Enjoys playing baseball and basketball.
- Thinks playing support at high Elo is fun and wouldn't mind switching to that role.
