Biography[]
Greyson "Goldenglue" Gilmer comes from Flower Mound, Texas in the United States. He played League ever since he was a child but started playing professionally in late 2013.
2014 Preseason[]
In December 2013, the original Dadslammers roster was formed, consisting of former LCS players Nk Inc and Evaniskus, and new comers Jezie, Goldenglue and Impactful. Goldenglue and the team's first competitive tournament was the Mobafire Cup in late 2013, which they placed 1st in.
2014 Season[]
With the announcement of Riot's North American Challenger Series, Goldenglue and Dadslammers quickly ascended the Ranked 5's ladder, finishing 16th in the challenger league and qualifying for the 1st NA Challenger Series Play-In. During their ranked 5's ladder grind, they became the first team in North America to take a game off of LMQ. In the first Play-In, the team was forced to change their name to "Skyline" due to a ruling by Riot. Playing under the Skyline name, the team was able to defeat Team LoLPro and Tint Gaming to advance to the quarter-finals of the 2014 NA Challenger Series Spring #1, where they shockingly 2-0'd Cloud 9 Tempest in a best of 3 series to advance to a Semi-Final showdown with LMQ. Before their match vs. LMQ, the team was picked up by compLexity Gaming, becoming compLexity.Red, however, they were defeated by LMQ 2-0 in their first match under the name compLexity.Red, placing them in 3rd place. Goldenglue stayed with the team and competed with them in the 2014 NA Challenger Series Spring #2 where they were tied for 5th-8th place.
On March 25, Goldenglue left compLexity.Red to join Team Dignitas, replacing long-time Mid laner Scarra after he stepped down from the main roster.[57] Goldenglue made his LCS debut on March 29 against Evil Geniuses.NA where he helped the team win the game and he continued to play with Dignitas for the last two weeks of the 2014 NA LCS Spring Split. However, Scarra returned to the main roster of Dignitas for the playoffs of the 2014 NA LCS Spring Split and Goldenglue was released.
After Team Coast's relegation in the 2014 NA LCS Summer Promotion Tournament, ZionSpartan and Shiphtur left the team and Goldenglue and Rhux joined to fill the mid and top lane vacancies.
Coast's participation in the Promotion Tournament automatically gave them a seed into the 2014 NA Challenger Series Summer #1. With a roster consisting of Rhux, Santorin, Goldenglue, WizFujiiN, and Sheep (DontMashMe and Daydreamin substituted for Santorin and Sheep in the quarterfinals), they defeated Team Green Forest, Curse Academy, and then LoLPro to win the tournament.
The 2014 NA Challenger Series Summer #2 saw a similar performance from Coast; this time, they defeated Denial, Team 8, and Curse Academy to claim the first-place spot. With the top seed into the 2014 NA Challenger Series Summer Playoffs, Coast was given a bye to the semifinals; they lost to Team 8 but then defeated LoLPro in the third-place match and qualified for the 2015 NA LCS Spring Promotion Tournament.
Immediately before the promotion tournament, however, Coast swapped out Rhux and Goldenglue to substitute positions in order to bring on Miracle and Ringer, two Korean players, as their solo lanes. Goldenglue was once again left without a team.
2015 Preseason[]
On November 3, 2014, it was announced that CompLexity was forming two rosters, coL.White and coL.Black. Goldenglue joined coL.White along with Westrice, Kez, Impactful, and Lohpally, qualifying for the 2015 NA LCS Spring Expansion Tournament via the ranked 5s ladder.[58] After beating Monstar Kittenz 2-1 in the first round, the team lost to Curse Academy 0-2 in the second round of the online portion of the tournament and were eliminated. On December 9, compLexity announced that they would return to having only a single roster. Goldenglue, MabreyBABY (formerly Impactful), and Lohpally joined the team from coL.White as starters, while Westrice stayed with the organization as a top lane substitute.[59]
At the time of that announcement, compLexity's roster for the NACL New Year's Kick-off Tournament included i KeNNy u from coL.Black and TheOddOrange as top lane and jungle starters, respectively.
2015 Season[]
In March 2015, Goldenglue joined a reformed Frank Fang Gaming, with a roster including himself, LattmaN, BonQuish, Moon, and BrandonFTW. They placed second in the AlphaDraft Challenger League, behind Misfits and ahead of Cloud9 Tempest. However, in the 2015 NACS Summer Qualifier, Frank Fang Gaming lost to Cloud9 Tempest in the first round of their bracket and were eliminated. Three days after their defeat, the team disbanded. Goldenglue joined Team 8 a few weeks later, temporarily replacing starting mid laner Slooshi going into the fourth week of the 2015 NA LCS Summer Split and marking his second appearance in the LCS.[60]
Team 8 finished the regular season tied for seventh but then lost to Cloud9 and were sent to the 2016 Spring Promotion Tournament. They chose Team Imagine as their Challenger opponent and beat them 3-1 to stay in the LCS for the spring season. After their victory, the team announced that Goldenglue would be their starting mid laner in the 2016 season.[61]
2016 Season[]
In October 2015, Immortals was announced as the new brand of Team 8.[62] Goldenglue initially remained with the team during the branding change but became a free agent in November.[63] One month later, Goldenglue joined Ember, a new team that acquired Cloud9 Tempest's NACS slot.[64]
Ember finished second in the regular season, with a 3-1-1 record. Additionally, Goldenglue substituted for Echo Fox in the LCS for multiple games when starting mid laner Froggen was unable to play due to visa problems. Due to jungler Contractz's ineligibility to play in the promotion tournament, Ember signed Santorin as a substitute starting with the NACS playoffs. They lost in the first round to Team Dragon Knights. After their failure to qualify for the LCS, Ember released all of their players except for Contractz, and Goldenglue left the team.[65]
Goldenglue joined Team Liquid Academy in May.[66] As a part of TLA, Goldenglue participated in the 2016 NACS Summer Split where they finished second in the regular season. In playoffs, TLA fell in the finals to Cloud9 Challenger in a 5 game match. TLA then lost their last chance to qualify for the 2017 NA LCS Spring Split to Echo Fox in the 2017 Spring Split Promotion tournament.
