Biography[]
Born and raised in Agoura Hills, California, Nicolas is currently finishing up high school and hopes to start college.
His gaming enthusiasm started from the early age of 6 when his grandmother bought him a Nintendo 64 for Christmas, becoming hooked on games like Super Mario 64. He later on invested much time into playing World of Warcraft, delving into hardcore raiding, accomplishing some server firsts with his guild. After the guild disbanding, Nicolas focused on playing his first MOBA, League of Legends. Gleeb didn't play much during Season 1, all he mostly did was play 3v3's to gain levels. He preferred 3v3's at the time due to the much shorter games. In Season 2, he climbed from Bronze to Diamond league by the end of the season, breaking 2200 elo. During season to he was asked to join Kill Steal Gaming, the first official team to approach him. Gleebglarbu became known in the high elo ladders going into Season 3, getting rank 4 in Challenger tier on the NA server. He realized he had potential to go pro in league once he started to be able to lane vs well known pro players in solo queue while not maining a single role or being a "one trick pony". He was then asked to play support for competitive teams such as Reality Check Gaming, Team TLC, Wazabi Gaming, Denial Esports and Napkins in Disguise.
2015 Preseason[]
On October 23, 2014 it was officially announced that Gleeb would be the support for Team Fusion, a team formed to play in the North American Expansion tournament.[20] The team finished third on the ladder and qualified for the Expansion tournament. However, prior to the start of the tournament, Team Fusion announced that Gleeb would be sitting out for the online portion as he adjusted the dose of medication he was taking to treat his bipolar disorder.[21][22]
Substitute player Chunkyfresh filled in for Gleebglarbu in the online bracket, and the team advanced to the offline stage, where Gleeb returned to the starting roster.[23] They narrowly beat Final Five 3-2 after losing the first two games. They then lost to Curse Academy 3-1 and were knocked down to the loser's bracket to face Team Coast. This time, Fusion got ahead 2-0 but then ultimately lost the series and did not qualify for the LCS.
In January 2015, Gleeb left Fusion.[24][25]
2015 Season[]
Gleeb substituted for Winterfox for the first four weeks of the spring split before starting support Imagine was able to arrive in the United States due to visa issues. However, after only two weeks of Imagine starting and then one week of starting AD carry Altec switching to support, Gleeb rejoined the team for the last two weeks of the split. They finished in eighth place with a 7-11 record, forced into relegations. Given the choice between playing against Team Dragon Knights and Team Fusion, Winterfox chose the former, despite their higher placement in the Challenger playoffs. Due to starting mid laner Kyle leaving the team prior to the tournament, TDK started Alex Ich in mid lane, and Winterfox lost the series 1-3 and sending them to the Challenger series.
Gleeb left Winterfox and joined Vortex prior to the start of the Challenger season. However, he did not actually participate in a single game during the season, and on August 12, he announced his retirement from competitive League of Legends to return to school.[26] However, in December 2015, Gleeb joined Ember, a new team that acquired Cloud9 Tempest's NACS slot.[27] Prior to the start of the season, however, Gleeb was replaced by former Astral Authority support Stunt and moved to a substitute position. Ember made the playoffs but failed to qualify for the promotion tournament and soon after released all of their players except for Contractz, leaving Gleeb once again a free agent.[28]
