- It was formerly part of a trio with

Elixir of Fortitude. - This item was originally known as Elixir of Elusiveness in the alpha phase of the game.
- It was removed because it primarily benefited AD carries that were already in the lead, making hyper carries even stronger, and pigeon-holing end-game AD builds to focus on critical strikes.
- During some seasonal events, the Elixir of Agility's name and picture are changed, although the effects remain the same.
- During The 2010 and 2011 Harrowing events, it was changed to

- Now grants 12-22% attack speed and 8% critical chance, reduced from 15-25% attack speed and 15% critical chance
- Cost reduced to 250 gold from 300
- Elixirs will now activate immediately if purchased when your inventory is full
- Fixed a bug with Elixir of Agility's tooltip to correctly show that it grants 15% critical strike
- Elixirs are no longer lost upon pseudo-death (Guardian Angel, Chrono Shift, etc.)
