Biography[]
Diamond is from Quebec City, Quebec, Canada.
2015 Season[]
Diamond joined Team Confound in February 2015, the day before they were acquired by the Team SoloMid organization and renamed to TSM Darkness. Despite losing to Cloud9 Tempest in the NACS Spring 2015 Qualifier, the team qualified for the NACS season when it was revealed that Cloud9 Tempest had used a ringer in one of their matches. At the time of the acquisition by TSM, Diamond renamed to Kabigon but then played in the Challenger series under the name t3azer.
Prior to the fourth week of the Challenger series, t3azer leaked scrim footage of games between TSM Darkness and CLG Black to Bee Sin from Team Fusion, prior to CLG Black's games against Team Fusion in the fourth week. A few days after those matches were played, t3azer's actions were revealed to the public.[27] As a result, TSM dropped their sponsorship of TSM Darkness, and the team played their last week in the NACS without t3azer and later held tryouts to replace him when they renamed to Elomingle. t3azer remained a substitute for the team through two more renamings: first to Magnetic prior to the NACS Summer Qualifier and then to Team Imagine after they qualified for the season. t3azer left the team shortly after the start of the summer season.
2017/18 Season[]
Despite not participating in many tournaments after his time in TSM Darkness, Diamond participated in a few local events in Canada; specifically Dreamhack Montreal 2017, LAN ETS 2018, and Dreamhack Montreal 2018 with different rosters each event. His best placing was winning LAN ETS 2018 with former LCS players CloudNguyen and ShorterACE and finishing Top 6 in the other two. After placing high in the solo queue leaderboards, Diamond was invited to the 2018 NA Scouting Grounds and drafted as the 6th pick for Team Ocean Drake (NASG Team) where the team won the 3rd place match against Team Cloud Drake (NASG Team). 9 days after conclusion of Scouting Grounds, Cloud9 Academy signed Diamond to a 2-year contract.
2019 Season[]
Spring[]
Cloud9 Academy's Spring Split was fairly successful as Diamond joined an established roster to play alongside Goldenglue, Keith, Blaber, and Kumo. With a slow start in the first week Cloud9 Academy finished strong with a regular season of 14-4. They fell short in Spring Playoffs to lose 1-3 to TSM Academy in the finals. During Cloud9's dominant run in spring all of C9 Academy were subbed in for an LCS debut in a match versus Clutch Gaming. During the game Diamond and Keith were able to showcase some of their talent with a 2v3 outplay against Clutch's Vulcan (Philippe Laflamme), Lira and Cody Sun[28] finishing with a KDA of 2/0/13.
Summer[]
Cloud9 Academy's Summer Split started with an similar roster besides Brazilian import Jukes playing the first 6 games. Halfway through the split Keith was traded to Golden Guardians Academy for Deftly leaving Diamond to adjust to a new ADC mid-split along with other changes in Top with Kumo returning to play as well as Licorice and Svenskeren playing in matches as well. This didn't phase the botlane as CLoud9 Academy dominated summer with a record regular season finish of 15-3. The team fell short again in Summer Playoffs, this time in semifinals marking Diamond's second regular season first place without an academy win. Diamond ended his first year with a 70% winrate across all of his Academy games.
2020 Season[]
Spring[]
Cloud9 Academy's Spring Split started with a brand new roster of Fudge, Inori, Palafox, K1ng and Diamond. Diamond was the only remaining member from the previous iteration and this new talent came with quite a few challenges. C9A started the split quite rough with a record of 2-4 by Week 3; the worst split Diamond had experienced so far. After some hard work the team pulled it around for a huge comeback to go undefeated for the remainder of the regular season finishing 14-4. C9A make it to Playoffs and crushed Evil Geniuses Academy in the finals to win the team's second Academy title and Diamonds first ever Academy title.
Summer[]
Cloud9 Academy's roster stayed mostly the same for the Summer, similar to last season's summer split, but VISA issues caused C9A to temporarily replace K1ng with Tomo, a player pulled from the NA Ladder with minimal team history. This marks the 4th Botlaner Diamond has played with during his Academy career. The start of the split was incredibly shaky as C9A ended Week 1 with a 0-2 record. Despite this, the team changed their course after what Diamond referred to as "downloaded their opponents" to finish the regular season with a formidable score of 13-5. C9A finished their summer strong with a 3-1 win over TSM Academy in the Playoff Finals for their third Academy Championship win and Diamond's second. Diamond ended his 2020 season with a cumulative series record for his Academy career at 61-18.
