Chivas Esports is the esports division of the Mexican soccer team Club Deportivo Guadalajara, also known as Chivas.
History[]
On January 2019, Chivas announced through their official site, that they would have an esports team that would be participating in Clash Royale. Their debut was in the LPE, the first professional online league that brings together official sports clubs, and then had face-to-face clashes in Europe.
After this, they began to have incursions into other esports, such as FIFA and Fortnite. With this, Chivas Esports has become one of the fastest growing esports organizations in Mexico in recent years, which included the construction of a Game Room in its sports facilities, where its players can practice and compete in the main tournaments.
The team entered to the League of Legends scene within the Division de Honor 2020, occupying the vacated position of Mad Lions E.C. Mexico during the next season.
