Overview
The 2017 Latin America South Cup (Spanish: Copa Latinoamérica Sur 2017) is the fifth season of Latin America South's fully professional League of Legends league. Six teams will compete in a round robin group stage, with the top four teams continuing to offline playoffs.
Format
- Six teams:
- Five from 2016 CLS Closing Season: Furious Gaming, Hafnet eSports, Isurus Gaming, Kaos Latin Gamers, & Rebirth eSports.
- One from 2017 CLS Opening Promotion: Last Kings.
- 8 weeks.
- Double Round Robin.
- Each match is Bo2. Wins = 3 points - Draw = 1 point - Lost = 0 points.
- Regular Season Placement:
- 1st-4th place advance to the Playoffs, with 1st and 2nd receiving byes directly to finals and round 2, respectively.
- 5th and 6th place play in the Closing Promotion.
- Rankings are determined by the following methods:
- Percentage of series won
- Head to Head Record
- Percentage of games won
- Alphabetical order.
- Show Tiebreaker Rules
