Overview
The 2017 Latin America South Cup (Spanish: Copa Latinoamérica Sur 2017) is the sixth season of Latin America South's fully professional League of Legends league. Seven teams will compete in a round robin group stage, with the top four teams continuing to offline playoffs.
Format
- Seven teams:
- Four from 2017 CLS Opening Season: Furious Gaming, Isurus Gaming, Last Kings, and Rebirth eSports.
- One from 2017 CDLS Opening Playoffs: Born to Kill.
- Two from 2017 CLS Closing Promotion: Hafnet eSports and Kaos Latin Gamers.
- 7 weeks.
- Double Round Robin.
- Each match is Bo2:
- 3 points for a win
- 1 point for a draw.
- Regular Season Placement:
- 1st-4th place advance to the Playoffs, with 1st and 2nd receiving byes directly to finals and round 2, respectively.
- 5th place automatically qualifies for the next Split.
- 6th and 7th place play in the 2018 CLS Opening Promotion.
- Rankings are determined by the following methods:
- Percentage of series won
- Head to Head Record
- Percentage of games won
- Alphabetical order.
