- His previous nickname, Bankai, comes from the anime Bleach, in which "bankai" is one of the forms of a Zanpakutou sword. It's also a tribute to Bankai, who is his friend and a fellow top laner. When the "original" Bankai entered the competitive scene in the 2021 season, he changed his nickname to his surname, Boal.
