Today in LoL eSports (December 4th, 2013)

Greetings, ladies and gentlemen. I am Adel Chouadria and I will frequently be guiding you through the latest events surrounding the League of Legends scene. Whether it is the latest tournament news, rumors, or events surrounding the League of Legends scene, I will make sure you won't miss a beat of League of Legends action.

Tournament Results: OGN Edition

  • SK Telecom T1 S sought to compensate for the 2-0 defeat at the hands of SKT T1 K, and they faced a struggling Team NB. In the first game, SKT T1 Easyhoon's Orianna brought doom upon NB Longpanda's teammates, and in the second game H0R0's Lee Sin and BANG's Lucian overwhelmed their opponents with a flurry of punches and projectiles.
  • In the headline matchup of the day, KT Rolster Bullets edged NaJin Black Sword to a 2-0 result. In Game 1, inSec's Lee Sin turned heads with a spectacular yet flawless display, making play after play to win the game. In Game 2, KT B patiently mounted a come back on the onset of Ryu's clutch Orianna shockwaves. NaJin Black Sword are the first team to be eliminated in the OGN group stages.

Other Tournament Results

  • In the Garena Premier League's first quarterfinal match-up, Taipei Assassins decisively vanquished Full Louis 3-0. In Game 1, TPA Bebe (13/0/5) and his teammates dominated their opponents despite an overall shaky start. TPA then controlled the pace of Game 2 by claiming objectives, and they used teamfight victories to snowball the game in their favor. As for the last game, it went down to the wire, and TPA took it home on the back of a teamfight.

News Around the Scene

One would have had to wonder about Kerp's status within the team. However, Kerp is sliding to the mid position, now vacant due to ForellenLord's eviction from the team. “In the later days of November my team informed me they think about replacing me. My journey has ended in the team.” said ForellenLord in a much more detailed Facebook post.

The Rumor Mill

The EG/Alliance deal has not fully materialized, but it seems that Evil Geniuses.NA is doing what they can to seal a deal that would allow the team to participate in the Season 4 Promotion Qualifiers, per Krepo's words. Alliance and EG may be sharing ownership, on which case that hurdle would need to be cleared.
