Biography[]
2015 Season[]
Akaadian joined Maelstrom in May 2015 and played with them in the NACS Summer Qualifier for the second round, replacing Cat. The team lost to CLG Black and were eliminated from the tournament; soon after, they disbanded. Akaadian returned to play in the summer season with Winterfox, replacing top laner Avalon partway through their season. The team won their first game with Akaadian starting, breaking a 6-game losing streak, but they lost the remainder of their games and finished in last place with a 1-9 record.
2016 Season[]
Akaadian was brought onto Team Liquid Academy after the second week of the NACS spring season, replacing Zary who had himself replaced IWDominate after his retirement from League and temporary substitution for Liquid Academy when former starting jungler Dardoch was moved to the main Team Liquid team. Liquid Academy finished in fourth place after winning an automatic tiebreaker with Dream Team and moved onto the playoffs, where they were eliminated in the first round by Apex Gaming. After the split ended, Team Liquid Academy rebuilt their roster, and Akaadian left, joining Dream Team. The team however wasn't successful in their attempt to make it into the LCS, after they finished 3rd-4th in the playoffs with an 0-3 loss to Cloud9 Challenger. Akaadian left the team in August and was teamless for the remainder of the season.
2017 Season[]
In January of 2017, Akaadian joined Echo Fox as their new jungler. Although his rookie split was largely impressive and he was individually one of the strongest jungler, Echo Fox still struggled to perform well as a team. They finished both the Spring Season and Summer Season in 8th place, first with a 6-12 record and then with a 5-13 record.
2018 Season[]
After a lackluster season, Akaadian left the team in December, and joined the newly formed OpTic Gaming. OpTic was predicted to be a bottom tier team, and their spring split performance did little to belie that, as the team never seriously contended for a playoff spot or finished a week above a tie for seventh. The team ended up finishing 5-13, in 9th place.
Akaadian remained with OpTic for the summer season. It began disappointingly for OpTic, with the team only managed a 2-6 record over the first four weeks, which left them tied for last place. However, they completely reversed that total by going on a four-game winning streak to reach an even win/loss record and maintained that pace over the final three weeks of the season, ending up with a 9-9 record. Unfortunately, four other teams posted 10-8 records, so OpTic was left in seventh place, missing out on playoffs once again.
2019 Season[]
In the off-season, Akaadian was announced as the jungler for TSM Academy. However, after presumptive starter Grig suffered a wrist injury, Akaadian was moved to the main roster to start the spring season and would end up starting all eighteen games. TSM started out 2-4, but rose quickly through the standings after that, ending the split with a six-game winning streak. This earned them third place, a single game behind Team Liquid and Cloud9, and earned Akaadian his first career playoff appearance.
TSM began the playoffs by dispatching sixth-place Echo Fox 3-1, sending them to the semifinals against longtime rivals Cloud9. Considered underdogs, TSM lost the first two games but managed to surge back with a reverse sweep, sending them to their first finals since 2017. Facing off against Team Liquid, who were looking to secure their fourth LCS title in a row, TSM took a 2-0 lead and seemed poised to continue their momentum from semifinals. However, disaster struck, and the team was themselves reverse swept, ending their season.
During the midseason break, TSM announced that Grig and Akaadian would compete for the starting jungler spot in the summer season. The two split time evenly over the first four weeks, and although the team won more games with Grig, TSM announced that Akaadian would be their starting jungler beginning in Week 5. The team played well, but not up to their spring level, and entered the final week of the split 9-7, in fourth place. Unexpectedly, TSM announced that 17 year old jungler Spica, who had spent the split playing for TSM Academy, would replace Akaadian for the final week of the regular season. Although Akaadian remained with the team, he didn't play a single game in either the summer playoffs or the regional finals, and his only other competitive action in 2019 was a single series for TSM Academy against Golden Guardians Academy in the academy playoffs, which the team lost 3-1.
2020 Season[]
In December 2019, Akaadian left TSM and joined the newly formed Dignitas Academy, where he would ironically again be the backup to Grig, who had joined the main roster. With a roster composed entirely of players with LCS experience, DIG.A was one of the best academy teams in the spring split and went 9-3 over the first six weeks. However, with the LCS team struggling at 5-7, Akaadian and Grig once again swapped places. Dignitas went 3-3 over the final three weeks of play, but lost to Golden Guardians in the final round of the tiebreaker for sixth place, ending their season.
During the mid-season break, Dignitas acquired Dardoch with the stated intention of having him and Akaadian compete for playing time on the main roster. Akaadian played on the LCS roster for the first three weeks of the summer season, but after Dignitas failed to win a single game with him starting, he was sent back to the academy team and remained there for the rest of the summer split. DIG.A went 5-5 with Akaadian, but ended up 8-10, one game outside of playoffs.
Trivia[]
