Biography[]
2015 Season[]
Ke "957" Chang-Yu joined Team WE Future as the starting top laner at the beginning of the season. The team managed decent performances throughout the year, finishing 7th/8th place in the Spring season of the 2015 LoL Secondary Pro League (LSPL) and 5th in the 2015 LSPL Summer. The team's performance in Summer allowed them to compete in the Spring Promotion for the 2016 LoL Pro League (LPL), but the team was eliminated by Unlimited Potential in the first round and did not qualify.
2016 Season[]
At the beginning of the season, 957 left Team WE Future and joined the main team, Team WE, to replace Aluka as the top laner. The team immediately started performing better than it had in the previous season, with 957 establishing himself as a reliable, low-economy player. The team finished 3rd in the 2016 LPL Spring and 4th in the 2016 LPL Summer, providing the team with enough circuit points to compete in the 2016 Season China Regional Finals. However, Team WE lost to I May 3-2 and did not qualify for the 2016 World Championship.
2017 Season[]
The 2017 Season was much more successful for Team WE. They finished the 2017 LPL Spring Season in 2nd place with a 10-6 record. In the 2017 LPL Spring Playoffs Team WE was able win their first LPL title after taking down RNG 3-0 in the finals. They attended the 2017 Mid-Season Invitational and made it through the group stage after they finished 2nd with a 7-3 record. 957 in particular was heavily praised for his outstanding performance on Kled. In the Semifinals they were eliminated after a 1-3 loss to G2 Esports. Summer wasn't as successful for WE domestically. They were unable to defend their LPL title after they finished 2nd in their regular season group and lost 2-3 to Invictus Gaming in the third place match of the playoffs. They got their revenge against Invictus Gaming later on after they defeated them 3-2 in the 2017 Season China Regional Finals. Their run at the 2017 Season World Championship was quite impressive. Despite starting off in the Play-In stage, they advanced to the main groups with a 3-0 win over Young Generation. They also finished 1st in their main stage group with a 5-1 record. After they took down Cloud9 3-2 in the Quarterfinals, they faced off against eventual tournament winners Samsung Galaxy and lost 1-3.
2019 Season[]
On January 17, 2020, Team WE announced that 957 would be retiring from the professional scene and become a caster.[10] The retirement post was released at 19:57 as a nod to 957.
