The 2018 NA Scouting Grounds is the third annual event of its kind. It serves as an opportunity for domestic players to showcase themselves and for NA LCS teams to sign new talent from within the North American region.
Overview[]
Format[]
- 20 highest ranked players (4 from each role) are invited from NA soloqueue
- Restricted to maximum 30 percent of total games on one champion
- Minimum 30+ games on 4+ different champions in their desired role
- Players are drafted onto one of four teams, each team staffed by an NA LCS organization
- Group Stage
- Double Round Robin
- Matches are best of three
- Top two progress to the Final
- Bottom two play in Third-Place Match
- Finals
- Matches are best of three

- Top Five Prospects
- At the end of the tournament, teams, analysts, and special guests will vote for the players they think will be the top prospects of the year.
- The winners of the votes will be presented with a Top 5 Prospect Award which includes a spotlight on social media.
- Additionally, the voted players will receive features and highlight reels by sponsored community creators and the opportunity to do an in-depth VOD review with a pro player of their choice.
