The 2017 Season World Championship is the conclusion of the 2017 League of Legends competitive season.

- Twelve teams participate
- Teams are drawn into four groups based on seeding
- Double Round Robin
- Matches are best of one
- Top two teams per group advance to Round 2
- Round 2
- Eight teams participate
- 1st place teams from the group stage each face a 2nd place team
- Matches are best of five
- Winners advance to Main Event

Prize Pool[]
- Initial prize pool $ 2,250,000 USD (approx. € 1,896,990 EUR)
- 25% of sales from Championship Ashe skins & Championship ward skins increase the prize pool.
- In the event that a tie cannot be broken between Group Stage teams, prize pool money is averaged.
- On October 19, the prize pool reached $ 4,072,101 USD[1] (approx. € 3,502,007 EUR).
- On November 2, the prize pool reached $ 4,596,591 USD[2] (approx. € 3,942,407 EUR).
- Final Prize pool: $ 4,946,970 USD[3] (approx. € 4,177,196 EUR)
