The 2016 NA Scouting Grounds is the first annual event of its kind. It serves as an opportunity for domestic players to showcase themselves and for NA LCS teams to sign new talent from within the North American region.

Format[]
- 20 highest ranked players from each role are invited from NA soloqueue
- Restricted to maximum 40% of total games on one champion
- Minimum 30+ games on 4+ different champions in their desired role
- Players are drafted onto one of four teams, each team staffed by an NA LCS organization: Team Liquid, Counter Logic Gaming, Echo Fox, or Immortals
- Group Stage
- Single Round Robin
- Matches are best of three
- Top two progress to the Final
- Finals
- Matches are best of three
